Interactive Maps transform your static map visualizations into shareable, embeddable web experiences. Share maps via unique URLs or integrate them seamlessly into websites and applications.

What are Interactive Maps?

Interactive Maps is a premium feature that converts your mapstudio.ai maps into:

Shareable web applications via a secure link
Embeddable widgets for websites and blogs
Responsive experiences that work on any device
Enhanced user experience through dynamic interactions

Unlike static image exports, interactive maps allow users to dynamically zoom and explore your data. Additionally, we are developing further interactive map features that will help you provide an even better experience to the end user.

Prerequisites

Creating interactive maps requires an S package or higher. Interactive maps are not available for unactivated accounts and workspaces on the pay-by-download plan.

To share the maps with the end user, you need to be able to send a link or embed a script in your website. Most content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow and others support these features.

For interactive maps to be displayed on the user's device, the browser must have JavaScript enabled and support WebGL. If this is not the case, a static map (not zoomable or interactive) will be displayed as a fallback.

Main Features

Share via Link

Each interactive map gets a unique URL for immediate sharing via email, social media, or direct links. This URL is not indexed by search engines like Google and is therefore not visible in search results.

Easy Integration

Embed maps in websites using simple JavaScript. No complex setup required. You can also pass the code and documentation pages to your developers if you don't want to integrate them yourself.

Works on all devices

Maps automatically adapt to any screen size and device. Touch gestures work seamlessly on mobile devices. Additionally, with the right configuration, devices without JavaScript (e.g. relevant for search engine optimization) or older browsers without WebGL support are also supported.

Fast Loading

Maps load within milliseconds via CDN (Content Delivery Network) with optimized caching and permanent availability for fast loading worldwide. On request, we also conclude an SLA (Service Level Agreement) for availability.

Accurate Billing & Usage Statistics

Interactive maps are displayed in your workspace with usage statistics and cost estimates. At the end of the month, actual usage is billed at a fair and transparent price.

Privacy Compliant

We do not collect personal data and do not store cookies. The recording of usage and access data is completely GDPR compliant. Storage of usage data is limited to a minimum and takes place exclusively on servers in Germany.

Click on the download icon and then select "Download area"
In the export dialog select "Interactive Map"
Configure title and description (optional)
Generate your interactive map
Share the URL or copy the embed code
